The Bang & Olufsen Beolab 8 is a compact, high-performance wireless speaker designed to deliver powerful, precise sound in a versatile and beautifully crafted form. Created by the Danish audio brand Bang & Olufsen, it combines advanced acoustic technology with premium materials, making it suitable for music listening, stereo setups, or as part of a home cinema system.
Description
The Beolab 8 is engineered to produce impressive sound from a relatively small cabinet. Its three-driver configuration—featuring a tweeter, midrange driver and woofer—delivers clear detail, strong midrange presence and deep, controlled bass. Despite its compact size, the speaker can fill rooms between roughly 10–60 m² with rich and dynamic audio.
Designed for flexibility, the Beolab 8 can be used as a standalone speaker, a stereo pair, or a surround speaker within a larger Bang & Olufsen home theatre setup. Advanced features such as Beam Width Control allow listeners to choose between a focused “sweet spot” for critical listening or a wider sound dispersion for room-filling playback.
The speaker also incorporates Active Room Compensation, which analyses the acoustics of the room and automatically adjusts its output for optimal performance. With ultra-wideband technology, the system can even direct the sound sweet spot toward the listener’s location via the Bang & Olufsen app.
At its core is the Mozart streaming platform, enabling seamless connectivity through Wi-Fi 6 and Bluetooth 5.3. The Beolab 8 supports modern streaming services such as AirPlay, Chromecast, Spotify Connect and TIDAL Connect, and integrates with Bang & Olufsen’s multiroom ecosystem.
Crafted from precision-milled aluminium with interchangeable fabric or wooden covers, the speaker reflects Bang & Olufsen’s commitment to luxury design and durability. It can be mounted on a table stand, floor stand, wall bracket or ceiling mount, allowing it to blend elegantly into a variety of interiors.
